Empty Night

Empty night, I’m all alone tonight. That man gave me a promise, An empty promise. He was lonely, I was lonely, So he said, “Let us be lonely together.” Be mine for this night, Tonight. He was lonely, I was lonely, So he said, “Let us be lonely together.” Empty promise, Empty bottles, Empty night, tonight. He gave me a promise, For us to be lonely together. An empty night, Filled with a lonely man and woman. That man gave me a promise, An empty promise. He said, “Let us be lonely together.” Empty promise, Empty bottles, Empty night, together. By daybreak He is gone, I am gone, Feeling empty.
