Empty is nest birds have flown west for money's quest we are lonesome. No other sounds Now peace around Hear our own pounds Peace is irksome

oh dr. Ram, I rather enjoyed the empty nest!!! And now I get to have the grandkids over but only until they start to annoy me. hahaha. Good poem.

Yes Dr. Ram, this is something we all have to deal with in our own way, if we have children. Advice, sympothy, never seem to help much. I have tried to transform the leaving into a celebration of passage. After all we aren't really letting go of the young birds, only allowing them to fly.

Enjoyed reading this one today..The empty nest is a terrible adjustment for the parents and for the child(only the child usually is not aware of theirs and the parents)..Reads like a winner to me..Thanks for the visits to my p age..Sara
