Empty Nest

A big space
but not a vaccume
a great weight lifted as they move away from me
these children
off to their own lives
my house becomes quiet again
my own
I do not miss them
this is mine now
my
empty nest
a renewal of marriage
so hard won
so precious
just us now
long evenings talking
yes you are
seducing me again
I love to see you happy your eyes shining
I know for such a long time
you have wanted me just to yourself
well
I'm all yours.
let us begin our next life

I am glad they are gone. I know they will come back, probably tag teaming, but because they can leave I know I have done a successful job and given them values to move forward: imagine if they were stuck at home unable to live! I am also looking forward to this new part of my life: our lives: I am swimming in possibiities. Its a happy time!
