Empty. Hollow

Decided on a journey
Searching for my soul
Looking for some meaning
For life while on this road

To date there’s been a void
No meaning behind this man
Just matter taking up some space
In a hollow empty land

The cries I have prayed
Have reached deaf ears
The God most say exist
Seems not to hear
Not to care
Or doing other things

I need an answer to my turmoil
It consumes my inner being
Like a cloud consuming the perfect sky
Bringing forth cold drops of rain

God hear my cry this one last time
For I will pray no more
If life is meant to be lived in pain
Then I will live no more

The answer now is up to him
If he is really there
If he is not
Nothing to lose
My life will end in fear
