Empty Heart
I came to you in the dark,
I wanted to give you my heart.
To make love and hold you near,
until the morning sun appeared.
Peacefully you slept by the moons light,
I could not disturb your dreams tonight.
Like an angle in heaven above,
selfishly I could not take your love.
So I'll just lay here in the dark,
alone with my empty heart.
