Empty Glass

Last of the wine has
been dripped
               Knuckles crack
and crack
tongue slaps the lips

The TV screams
 as the commercials beg
               The children starve,

             time never ends

can you

             really
                          trust

your mind? as insanity only conquers
the insane.

Hi, Way to go! I love your writing style. The rhythm and beat in your words bring forth the theme in a way that's realistic and touching - the difference in life situations is daunting but oh so real. Wellpenned! I’ll be sure to look out to more from you. Vicky.

Yeah, tough truth.....can be overcome with one person helping one person at a time, least that is what we must hold on to. Love your honest feelings here though
