Empty

Just like the last grain of sand that flows into the bottom of an hour glass…empty is how you have left my heart. Just like the last drop of coffee in the bottom of the coffee pot…empty is how you have left my heart. Like gas gage of my car which flashes E for empty… empty is how you have left my heart. Just like the last baby bird that left the nest…empty is how you have left my heart. Just like the last loaf of bread on the grocery shelf… empty is how you have left my heart. For just like the last Mohican that was left standing in the battle field battered and beaten…Alone and mortally wounded is also my heart, on the day you left me and drained the blood from my heart.
