Emptiness

Emptiness is what I feel
Heaviness is at my heels
Nothing makes sense to me
The way I cannot see

I am sad; now that is true
I’m tired of the blue
Blue waves are drowning me
Drowning me in the sea

Emptiness is what I feel
Heaviness is at my heels
Jesus, please comfort me
Lead me; Lord, help me see
