Emptiness

The void beckons
and emptiness,
awaits

Where what isn't,
is greater than
what was

Where what is,
becomes in part,
what's not

And what was,
becomes a void
that's not there

A vacant spot
at the table,
a chair, empty

Oh...I agree so much with Andrea. This is profound...and so touching. You had me going to know...to understand...and in the end....to feel. Lovely in a sad way...Life is often full of sadness...but it is tempered with joy.
