Emptiness

Sitting here alone
Waiting for the time to go by
Gazing out the shuttered window
Thinking to myself

Listening to the quiet tunes
As I can hear the wind chimes
As the fall breeze pushes its way through
Staring at the bare streets
The empty park

Glancing at many birds
Relaxing in the shrubs
Across the street
Feelings of loneliness, fill me up
Inside

Getting the town ready for Christmas
Watching as one vehicle drives by every ten minutes
Sometime I wish my life was different
But what would I change

I have my little men
They are all I need
