An Emperor Beetle A bug on my desk is green. Florescent green. Not dull, but yes lifeless. Not the color, but the breath of the insect. All is quiet. Beauty remains. Glittering “bling”, a king… Maybe longer than some, as they wear their insides, on the outsides like armor. Time, will still take his pieces. One leg, one arm, one at a time. Maybe to feed the ants? Or just food for flowers? Coming and going.
