Empathy

If you see some one suffering yet choose to look away, ignoring their pain, go about your day.. In time this karma will be replayed.. Some people lack compassion you know. They show no empathy for those in woe.. These self-centered souls lack God's grace, with time they'll know anguish in their personal space.. Go help that stranger, be there for a friend. These simple acts of human kindness matter the most in the end..

Hi Marugu, There are some very wonderful people here in Central Pa. I have benefited so much by random acts of kindness from strangers. However, in my small four family condo, one nasty man lives above me. Two years ago when he did unauthorized work on his unit, I developed asthma and had to move out and buy heppa air scrubbers. When I told him I had trouble breathing, he cussed me out. Things got resolved when I spoke to his sweet wife and I avoid him and ignore him but he still tries to bully me. I guess he views me, a woman alone, as an easy target. Go figure!?!

I agree with you, Nancy. What goes around comes around. Mindful and kind folks are compassionate towards someone who's in pain or who is suffering. Simple acts of kindness are truly grand in their impact. Lovely poem. Have a pleasant evening, Sara

Hi Sara dear, I've been a giver my whole life and now I'm on the needy receiving side, hopefully for a while. It is a different perspective for me after a life of being ambulatory and independent. Thanks for your visit. Blessings to you Ms. Texan poetress..

Dear Paula, You are so sweet and I do appreciate your empathy for my circumstances here. I'm going to the orthopedic today to get a clear picture of how long this healing will take Blessings to you dear Paula and to all who show empathy and compassion for others. I guess we most only pray for the rest who are lacking in this quality..

Thanks Karen. Hope it's not too preachy. I am recovering in a wheelchair here, a transplant to this area and have acquired a few friends locally but my family resides out of state. I have been there for the three other owners in so many ways: cooked, bought food when they had covid, watered their plants, planted flowers with my own monies, etc. yet three weeks into my predicament, no one has even offered to take out my trash for me. I'm simply amazed. Where is their empathy?
