Empathizer
In my plight, my darkest nights,
all corners-tight, void of might
'still choose to keep right and..
.just in sight! I saw the light..
a beacon and oh! it beckoned
like "TOTAL RECALL"- i put all my bet on
took the bait, threw in my weight, and with haste
strengthened my faith, ending my long wait.
took my hand, showed me the way... anyway,
brought me back even when i went astray
bringing back the brighter days, that later paid.
filled the hollow, never again to wallow,
singing everyday like its a carol..
delighting me to the marrow
that i ain't got no sorrow to nurse on the 'morrow
