I kissed the darkness a farewell in spite Was always there when I bed goodnight Comfort of warmth, now tenderly out of sight My sorrows shredded before dawn’s light. To lose the weight of harboring fears that barricade It’s time now to defuse and quell that fiery brigade allowing my tears to flow like a cascade dousing the emotional fire into embers till they fade
