Emotions

I could have never asked For a better sister, a friend, Help me bring my emotions to a mend. Laying on the couch like an angel with a pouch, Just as pretty as ever, always beautiful without a doubt. If I hide what I feel then I might squeal, Like a new born baby, no joke this is real. You're always on my mind all day and all night, You're the lighthouse that shines super bright. No matter what I think every night you still appear, In my dreams, all the time a picture so crystal clear. I have to admit being with you every week, Has got me feeling a little weak; Like candy crush saga this game is so sweet. We talk sometimes only on a Tuesday night, I know that sounds harsh but please this is just a start. I'm doing my best to open my heart, I don't want to date, this is not the time nor the place. I could have never asked For a better sister, a friend, Help me bring my emotions to a mend. I learn something new every night that's tight, Like with your space, I get it, we all have a limit. If I get too close please let me know, I'll take a step back and retract. I want to be close like on a roller coaster, Not that exact but almost like a pact; Let's be real but not concealed. I’m amazed every time, by the way you react When I explain how I feel. You're the strongest girl I have ever met, And without a doubt I am blessed. To have a friend like you, To help me bring my emotions to rest. I never thought having a friend like you, Could be so true until I met you And now a few years later I feel even greater Like when I leave a nice tip for a waiter. I could have never asked For a better sister, a friend, Help me bring my emotions to a mend. I've been through a lot and it was hard, But the toughest part was opening my heart.
