Emotional Smoothie
One thought is all it takes
One feeling that triggers
A scenario that branches out
Like a tree with multiple branches
The various scenarios that might happen
One thought becomes a bundle.
My eyes swell with tears
As I try to hold them back
Like a dam about to break
To flood the land below.
Unknown voices speak to me
From the "what if" clips
Of the possible outcomes
That may play out.
A thought caused by suspicion
A thought caused by trauma
A thought caused by issues
A thought caused by anxiety.
No matter the subject
Just one chaotic thought
Can create a virus from within
Without warning it'll strike
Making you feel drained of life.
My heart begins to race
My breathing begins to increase
My body begins to freeze
My mind spinning like a wheel.
I feel as though
All my emotions
Were thrown into a blender
A finger pressing the on button
Beginning to swirl and swish
Transforming them into a chaotic smoothie.
A smoothie that had a bitter taste
Then shifts to tangy before spicy
Salty sweet before dreadful disgust
It is a smoothie thats hard to digest.
