Emotional Baggage

Through my naive eyes you were beautiful
could not believe they called you a savage
my heart would not allow any bad thoughts
no ones perfect, we all carry baggage,

we will prove them wrong, love will conquer all,
denying us love has no advantage,
we have so much, future in our favor
no ones perfect, we all carry baggage,

we are strong we'll cope with any heartbreak
promises made surly contain adage,
you did do bad things that now you regret
no ones perfect, we all carry baggage,

they may not forgive your woeful actions
some lives have changed, you didn't mean to damage,
they still can't forget, even now you're gone
no ones perfect, now I carry baggage.

Baggage, my dead husband carried baggage I was wife number 3, so he would talk about wife number 1 or 2 often. It came to a point I turned him off. I got tired of hearing ofthe wives he had in the past. Have a nice day my friend.

Thank you very much Darren, we do, I agree with the quote:- a man that doesn't make a mistake makes nothing, but us humans we are ready to judge and sometimes find it hard to forgive and forget, thanks again for your support. :)))

Roy, this is somewhat like a kyrielle where the last line is always the same but I love how you changed it on the last verse! Good one.

Thank you so much Andrea, there seems to be many variations of poetry forms so perhaps with poetic licence I could say this is a Kyrielle ? Thanks again for your support and encouragement. :)))

Wow Roy, a strong emotional write with a lovely refrain and an amazing and sad twist at the end that just made me stop for a few seconds after reading your poem... to let it soak in. A truly heartfelt and heart-rendering write. Enjoyed! :)

Thank you so much Susan, your comments I really welcome and very much appreciate, whether right or wrong I just write what comes into my head, I don't edit much only check spelling and syllable count if needed, I would also like to say that I am hopefully learning a lot from reading poems composed by the amazing poets on PS such as yourself, thanks again for your support and encouragement. :))

I like the sound of one line repeating in the stanzas--an emotional write!
