God was calling her All her companions answered And trusted him But she was standing Alone in rebellion People were calling her All her friends were out Walking down the streets But she was standing Alone in rebellion Love was calling her Everybody was in love She preferred solitude And that`s why she stood Alone in rebellion But her room and her garden Were full of birds Dreamy birds, passionate birds Which perched upon her soul While she was writing, dressed in white
