Emerald Echoes - Anacreontic Verse

I'm an emerald
echo of earth's
caterpillar, a
camouflaging
hiatus of muse
midst karmic rainstorms.
Enslaved to jealous
stars flaming within
infernal wings,
I yearn to spellbind
sacred heaven's throne,
chasing subconscious
liberty in crowned
soul of marine eyes.
Tracing saffron
fingertips in
silent smokes of
Venus, willingly,
I've scarred tuscan shine
of Aphrodite
with pearl's thermal ache.
So now, when new year's
first sunflower sings ~
breathing ambrosia
in gemstones of
bejeweled healing,
a poet shall be
reborn as a
ruby-amethyst,
snowtail butterfly.

I am grateful for your sharing and the efforts you put into your poem. It is meaningful to me all the poems written in this contest meant something to the authors. I truly appreciate that. Congrats!!!

Hiya, now this outlays into a Lyric Format, that is its intent on one side of the spectrum, and the other is content, I'm not sure, it's still a bit new, and now Silent One threw another monkey wrench into the woodwork, a bit overwhelming but it does have the quill doing overtime, my friend. Aloha, William

Beautiful descriptive lines that led to the finale of a reborn poet was astounding. I hope to hear more like this poem. It makes my head spin.

Hiya, the lines of your poem delight and amaze. I greatly enjoyed the lovely images, especially 'when new year's first sunflower sings' and 'ruby-amethyst, snowtail butterfly.' Best of wishes for the contest. :)

Dear Hiya, Your skillfully selected diction is, as usual, entirely captivating. It appears that the principal aim of this exceptional piece of writing is to clarify terms that hold profound significance. Your composition is replete with eloquent metaphors and profound ideas. "Reborn as a ruby-amethyst, snowtail butterfly" and "I'm an emerald echo of the earth's caterpillar" are two of my favorite lines.

Well done on trying this verse... I think the main purpose of this one is the simplicity of words with a profound meaning.. you have a great selection of words, but a bit too many metaphors in this one.. Good luck in the contest dear poet..

Fabulous, enchanting--your diction, as always, charms the reader in this poem, Hiya--as emerald echo of caterpillar transforms into ruby-amethyst butterfly.

This is so beautifully written, Hiya. As lovely as a "Ruby-amethyst snow-tail butterfly" sounds. I can't picture myself being reborn into that...maybe a monarch instead (lol). Love this! Charlie

Awh, thank you so much dear Charles.. Yes, definitely, monarch butterflies are magical themselves, haha! One of my imagination says that my heart will be reborn as a butterfly maybe & that's where the inspiration came for this poem.. :) Thank you so much for your beautiful feedback, I'm glad you like this!

Ah i absolutely love this anacreontic angelic star, the flow and creative diction truly makes this one stand out for me. And i must also highlight your use of aphrodite here is so clever and brilliant. I love also your use of colours as well as how you’ve titled it emerald echoes. How creative. Especially “ So now, when new year's first sunflower sings ~breathing ambrosia in gemstones of bejewelled healing,” ah i love sunflowers and new year is also my birthday. So i can resonate with those
