Embrace and Release

When you love someone it’s not a lease You aren’t bound you can release Life is not some kind of race Contracts don’t form from an embrace In fact, the opposite is true You are not stuck like glue It is not a game, a contest or race There are no rules to an embrace No straight lines, there is no crease Sometimes you must stop and release Now release does not mean let go forever In fact it can mean you’ll let go “never” You have to follow your heart and mind Sometimes you may feel left behind Into things try not to read You heart may hurt but it won’t bleed Remember even lovers need their space So Hold tight, release and embrace 05/09/2021
