Elysian Violins

Ah! To bask in the melodious harmony of orchestral violins and dream!

'Tis as soothing as the music of water rippling along a meandering stream!

'Tis as smooth as golden honey flowing from a splendid crystal jar!

'Tis as pleasing to the soul as legions of angels' harps heard from afar!

A beautiful write, Robert! This evokes many "golden honey" thoughts and memories. Thank you! My father had had a collection of these instruments. Mostly played by fiddlers, who had loved their concord. I remember small, and listening to the violin and piano;they'd been amused and offered me a quarter to do the Highland Fling. I danced around like monkey, and they laughed the whole time. They were happy; I left them wearing an enterprising grin. I'm sure my dance hadn't been worth the quarter!:)

Violins are so gentle and soothing to the soul. I like the way you compared the sound's impact to that of legions of angels' harps. Beautifully written for Dr. Ram's contest, Bob. Sending winning wishes your way. Love, Carolyn
