Elusive Nymph

Seclusion, where waters sway Moonlight gleams upon the spray Here I sit alone and wait For my love, but she is late Then at last I see her there Flowing dress, cascading hair She approaches, we embrace I can feel my pulses race Undulation of her hips There is hunger in her lips She takes charge, she leads the way I submit to sensual play Time flies by, does not exist She knows well I can’t resist To the hold she has on me She will never set me free I give in, become her slave Then we ride the final wave Till satiated on the sand I reach out to take her hand But beside me it’s all bare: She is not there. Paul, I just could't resist the title. I had to satisfy my curiosity and take a look... and I'm so glad I did! I love the fantasy and flow to your sensual, romantic poem. Your stirring imagery enticed my senses as I was charmed by your poetic lines. What pixie dust this elusive nymph did cast, I was spellbound till the end... Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Apart from other things, titles are meant to catch the reader's attention and curiosity. There is always the chance that the poem itself won't live up to expectations, but that's a risk worth taking! As you have already noticed this one is wholly based on fantasy; glad that the pixie dust worked for you, Susan:) ~ Warm regards // paul

I'm impressed w/this lilting love poem, Paul. Those who become addicted to pleasure, can never accept the finality of aforementioned brief encounters. Thus, the highs become the lows. Very entertaining write. Love the ending best of all. Great line. Love and best wishes to you.
