Elmer Fudd

Elmer Fudd is my hunting bud. We're gonna get that pesky rabbit. We're gonna grab it. One thing that I can say about Fudd, he was out to get Bugg's blood. I'm sorry to say, always, to this day, his big aspirations went thud. Do you think he'd have better luck if he tried to get Daffy Duck? I admit, Elmer's just a cartoon, that I watched Saturday, 'til noon.

David, I appreciate your support of my Flash Poetry Challenge (10). This is an excellent choice! Who doesn't love Elmer Fudd?

Poor Elmer, destined to forever be known as the worst hunter ever. I remember the cartoons well.

I used to like the older versions of these Warner Brothers cartoons the best, the older Fudd. The older Porky, etc.

LOL. Love it Dave. I liked watching him too. Now a days though it is politically incorrect to show someone with a gun so I heard the studio was going to show him without one. Too bad. Anyway good poem

Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit~~ For some reason, I've always rooted on the "hunter" in these kinds of cartoons (Elmer, Tom, Sylvester, Coyote), and share their frustrations when their aspirations went thud haha

Oh yeah, Tweety Bird, really asking for it, and the Coyote - heartbreaking - lol!

Inventive technology comes to enjoy life easily but often we use this meaninglessly... enjoyed your poetic theme.

Thanks Mahtab! In seriousness, if you're talking about guns, personally, I would never own one, and I'm for the strictest gun control. The technology of animated cartoons, on the other hand, in my view, is society's crowning achievement.

You took me back to childhood. I liked Elmer Fudd. I think I liked Scrooge McDuck best. He seemed to be good at decision making. Nice poem.

I suppose our parents thought we spent too much time in front of the tv…fun cartoons on Saturday mornings and yes, church on Sunday mornings. Hopeful people will go back to church. Blessings, David!
