Elifant
Keep me awake to the melodies I may write,
If I sleep tonight I am forever lost in the limbo,
bring her to me for who I keep in wait,
the songs I would sing and stories I would tell,
her smile that will make me move my heart to new heights,
battling my demons has made me wary and tired,
wide open eyes peering for something marvellous,
a bowl beneath to hold my tears as the convictions
breaking their firm stand. Ears stretched to hear some love,
with feet frozen to the ground unwilling to move ahead.
