Meet The Canada Lynx Cat With Paws As Big As A Human Hand | Bored Panda

"In our hands is the future of all wildlife with whom we share this earth. They cannot speak so we must." Quote by _ Constance
My mother saved up years for a long Lynx fur coat, oh, she was so proud to wear it; I thought nothing was wrong, when I was young. But now, I find it distasteful; eleven Canada Lynx, to make but one fashion fur coat ! Sadly, I inherited that now old coat; it is in my storage room for I cannot sell or look at it. I think of those beautiful Lynx that are harvested, perhaps as they sleep in their caves; in a secluded boreal forest, do they kill babies ? For a hat maybe, that is sad; as they do not harm humans ever, being nocturnal dusk to dawn hunting. In my mind they are walking in the snow; their huge feet leaving footprints as they silently hunt.

oh my 11 killed to make a coat awful how cruel people can be I sometimes feel hunters deserve to face a firing squad I bet they would not do it knowing that would be their fate hugs Shadow

Shadow, thank you so much for the comment, I agree it is cruel, it is disgusting that hunters feel they have the right to kill innocent creatures, it makes me want to weep, hugs, Constance

I can relate to your experience and your words, Constance. I used to admire my aunt's mink stole...found it elegant and a statement of her fashion sense and grace. I, too, inherited the coat and have never worn it. It sits in my closet carefully covered and protected. I don't even want to know how many animals were killed to make it. Well done. Enjoy your evening, Sara

Sara, thanks for the compliment, comment and sharing. I have no idea what I will eventually do with the coat, it is still beautiful, but to sell means getting money for the death of these beautiful creatures, so there it exits in my storage room. I know how many beautiful little mink it took to make your aunts stole, but I will not tell you as it will break your heart, hugs, Constance
