Notes About The Poem

For Bite Size No. 132 Poetry Contest sponsored by Line Gauthier

Elevator Love Pitch

The town of Plymouth has a rock.
Each buckled shoe must have its sock.
Each open door must first be shut,
and this bolt needs no other nut.
Just as all these things are true,
This ardent "me" must have a "you".

Must be a pretty large elevator to fit Plymouth Rock in there... Otis, c. 1847
