Elephant

ELEPHANT
If I was an animal an elephant I'd be.
                                           They have unforgettable memories.
                                               An elephant never forgets.
Being an elephant is no regret.
If I had to chose an elephant I'd be.
                                                   Teresa Skyles

Very cute entry for the contest, Teresa. In addition to their "memory" powers, elephants always seem like kind and gentle creatures to me. I think they would be a great choice for a new life -- and I believe they also have very long life spans. Enjoyed your poem, dear. Love, Carolyn

Hello there, I like this poem...though I sometimes feel I already have an elephant's mind and there are so many things I'd rather forget, if I only could. Still, I like your imagery here. And thank you for your lovely comments on my poem, "I Carry Within Me Hope". You are MOST kind...Warm wishes, Cyndi
