Elements

Earth, a spirit so strong and unyielding
Stoically weathering the wind and rain.
Apathetic, almost harsh, yet shielding.
Facing weaknesses, ignoring the pain.

Wind, boundless joy, sheer exhilaration.
Rushing through the sky for the cold, wild north.
Flight for the journey, not destination.
Unlimited energy streaming forth.

Fire and water, together, hand in hand
Yet sworn to be worst of enemies.
Raging over the sky, the sea, the land,
The eternal war between two armies.

They bind our world, our nature, our wildlife
Our quintessential elements of life.
