Element Earth
Element Earth
Closing my eyes i sit on the weak soil
Earth, the mother of life and fertility
Who gave us strength and beauty
But now stirs restlessly deep below
We disrespected her
And her pain flows throughout the land
With a tear stained face
I see how we have repaid her
Our poisons fill her up
And our fires burn her
Leaving her to choke and to bare blackened scars
Our tall grey lifeless buildings
Cages her in and keeps her trapped
Away from the shining sun
Hearing the cries of the frightened life
she has to cover her ears to stand the saddening noise
She sends earthquakes and storms
To stop the pain everyone is causing her
Hoping to destroy what is wrong
And so she can free her limp body so she can flourish once again
