Elegy For a Dying Culture
Our heritage vanishing
Before us it's diminishing.
Stolen from us in broad daylight,
In hopes of better tomorrow we delight
While in ruins our yesterday lies,
As vices thrive and culture dies.
Bleeding from blade of modernization.
Oh! Can't we see its colonization?
Though not based on our geography,
But it's aimed at our philosophy.
Built on sheer deluded logics
To corrupt morals and destroy ethics.
Like predator scavenging at seaside,
Awaiting her preys as it tides.
Yet calmly we swim the bloody pool,
Oh! Aren’t we tired playing the fool?
While traditions plead for rescue,
It's a pity we have no clue:
Mother tongues in oblivion,
Lost and exiled by western Albion.
We've sacrificed chastity
On alter of insanity.
Decency lost to the dogs,
Shattered in pieces by western logs.
Respect traded for shame
At the shop of white man’s fame.
Oh! Shall the culture we despise today
Be our treasure hunt someday?
From dawn to dusk culture cries,
In tearful days it slowly dies.
