Elegance
Elegance was spoken as she glided across the room
Weathered face not subtracting from her delicate beauty
She spoke with a confidence that made people notice
Who was she I wondered? I would love to be like that
Her dress flowed around her with glitter and jewels
Hair like golden weave that had been spun just for her
A face like an angel, grace must be her idol
I was in total awe as I stood there beside her
After her grand entrance, she just disappeared
Leaving a void in the room that she had just mirrored
Very few people, I thought, have that kind of impact
I found myself hoping that she would come back
But she didn’t grace us with her presence again
Had I created her image in my mind of wishful thinking
