Electricity

Electrical power
surges
through my body,
sending high voltage waves
to my brain,
shocking me
to my core.
The beats
are pulse pounding.
Raw energy
flows
through
my veins.
Flashes of rhythm
like a neon sign,
glowing
out from the darkness.
Lightning strikes
of pure power,
raging into fire.
Flames amplified by octane.
Burning away my soul,
until the smoke rises.
And I am lost in it.

Very admirably depicted write on Electricity. I somewhat felt eels nearby while reading this, which is very good because the imagery was very real and effective. Loved this Poem.

Thank you so much, Ivo. I'm happy that you enjoyed it.... This poem was written on the theme of music, and I chose heavy metal. The description of electricity is how I feel when I listen to that kind of music. I'm glad that you felt it, because that was what I hoped would happen when people read this!

You have perfectly described the untamed side of such power. Control elements can render such power beneficial to artists and engineers.... I suspect you have witnessed both..... Great work, as usual... Hugs, dear one.... Jake
