Electric Intellect

To the edge of shadows, we race Into gilded realities frayed by electric intellect We creep silently into oblivion's arms We wade through the black seas of eons, extinct Washing thoughts of unpure hearts From our tired and ruined hands Feel it drain into sleep, deep into the night We pass through the veils of the coming Cascade We cut our eyes on jagged imagery We open our veins to nightmare's insane Quite cryptic realms of unwanted tortured sleep Bleed our engines of illusory idols Tremble at the thought Stumble at the precipice Surrendering to the shadow's edge It cuts sharp and deep, profane Destroys it clean and neat, purifies it Holy and sacred, deranged As humanity slips away we fly, past the crystal sky Into sweet oblivion's bitter heart of gold, we roll Emeralds are sold for an animal's intellectual soul We stumble onto the shadow's jagged frame We watch darkness slide from fragile hands To the edge of shadows, we are immaculate Into gilded realities frayed by electric intellect We drift silently into oblivion's arms Wading through the black seas of extinct eons As we wash thoughts of unpure hearts From tired and ruined hands, craft Humanities distant oblivion's Art.

Great job...great lines like "tired and ruined hands..." A very emotionally engaging...and draining poem.
