Egret In Flight

the setting sun
               s i l h o u e t t e s
        a great white egret
in sky of marigold....

            so vivid;
a portrait of grace in flight!

it's long neck, 
arched;

o   u   t   s   t   r   e   t   c   h   e   d wings....

rhythmically flapping,
         flying off
to an untold destination.
                          look at it!
just look at it go...
              up, 
       up, 
up,
             up and away!
       bye bye, bird...
