Ego Shorn

Ego shorn unlike the hairy back of cancer Taking all but life before even taking that She hoped to be a mother some day and her Life would be gone at 26 a hard fact I look at her in a hat of fur pink sweater that seems to soften What a loss of life in her Hearts sank lower than a coffin But she was a believer And her face seems to glow The world didn’t know it needed her Angelic virgin the last of a soul She is found not lost in afterlife Her familiar smile brightly shines In heaven she is for us here a light Illuminating for us all in teal time Ego shorn here now reborn An angel returns to her God If only we could just defeat Breast cancer that made her a star. 7/2/2022 Written for Ego Shorn Here Now Reborn Poetry Contest Sponsor Unseeking Seeker

This is so heartbreaking. I really feel your emotion. Great writing. I had level 2 BC six years ago. The oncologist had me take Prolia (just for my bones afterward),and it has left me disabled for life. If it's not one thing that gets ya, it's another.

Beautiful soul I had no idea you are a survivor! God bless you. However I hate that you are left disabled. I do know this is difficult but in my eyes you won! Thanks for sharing heroine!

We could start by banning brassieres, as they restrict and constrain normal blood circulation! Aloha!

Teenage boys can view their classmates breasts on their cellphone, so their attention has drifted to derrières. I suspect girdles will be in the Fall fashions . . . .Aloha!

I would love that. But then women would be accused of teasing men if the girls run free and of it being our responsibility where men's eyes go and how they react! Thanks for reading and for a smile
