Ego Monster Under the Bed

For the most part you have known
 It would never leave you
Of its own will.

Thus it would be far more sensible
 For you to see
That it was never there to begin with.

So you could cease its endless worries
 Time and time again
And live the life you've always dreamed.

Hey, this one is pretty interesting, starting from the title; I imagined this humongous mirror under the bed, with mustache and all, and that was nice; the speech in verse was awsome, a nice way of advise in here, and that's pretty true, in the end, we are the ones who live, just as we jump or roll; thanks for the experience =D

Do you really suppose the "ego" is real? Or are we all part of a "collective consciousness"? And, is it under the bed OR in the closet ... LOL ... Interesting write you've done here, Yoni. Love the title ... smile ...

This is, indeed, very creative, Yoni! You certainly have a gift for exploring human behavior in your poetry. That "ego monster" lies in wait for all! Excellent concept and writing! Will be sending you soup mail shortly. Love, Carolyn
