Ego death
To climb Jacob’s ladder
became an ambition
of the earth entity
non-existent.
The object
assuming an ego
took itself to be real
and so set about it’s task.
Following holy scriptures
kneeling before idols
brought no solace
to its heart.
Exhausted
and in despair
surrendering doership
its pure heart invoked bliss.
Identity itself the blockage
a veil which when fell
revealed the light
of true Self.
