Edge of Night
At edge of night of a gruelling life,
After strenuous days of stressful strife
I stand staring at stars sparkling soft bright,
Illuming the sky with their gentle light.
Whispers of solitude fill up the air,
Time unravels with a lingering flair,
Each moment trapped in twilight's tight embrace,
Reflecting warmth on a calm silent face.
The moon ascends high, a brave beacon bold,
Casting a silver shine on sky`s threshold,
Revealing distant lands where wishes soar
And hopes are kindled, those climes to explore.
In this hush, I sense the world far away,
With smiles, feathered angels clearing my way,
Gathered like echoes in the fleeting breeze,
A tapestry woven with wishful ease.
I dream of a dazzling realm in the sky,
Where at day`s dead end, I would wish to ply
And not wheel on again the chain of birth
In the lap of dreary and mundane earth.
In edge of night, with a faint fragile sigh
I fancy, like angels yearning to fly;
With each heartbeat, I feel my rhythms sway,
By a flying chariot borne away.
Fears dissolve in edge of night's soft embrace,
As I wander through trendy timeless space,
For in spots, where sharp shapeless shadows meet,
I pluck the courage to stand on my feet.
When time is up, I`d cross life`s edge of night
In this twilight, without fear, without fright
In search of space where shades and light unite,
After a journey, so hectic, yet bright.
