Edge of Me

perched on a prominent edge of me
I ache looking through my dream debris
compelled I sight a prospective ledge
where bits of my gray are shown in sketch
sadly no colors of me do I detect

~why does no dream ~ ~ dream to console me~

CayCay, I read this maybe half a dozen times and found something new or different in each reading. Very compelling and so very successful in reaching your audience. But then, I would expect no less from you! ;-) Ron

Dear CayCay, your poem is profound in its deep, rich imagery— and the subtle bits of alliteration spice the poignancy of your verse just right. Each line is stunning and together they form an exquisite piece of poetry. Your golden pen outshines the summer sun, my inspiring poet friend. Congratulations for your success in Rob’s contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Love the imagery and the 'debris'. Reminds me when my dream fabrics start to make their own memories. A very interesting phenomenon.

Dear CayCay, Wow, this one sits on the skin like a shiver. There’s a rawness here, a quiet ache that lingers in the spaces between words. That prominent edge where it feels so exposed, so vulnerable, as if standing at the precipice of something not yet named. Pondering! Spring Blessings, my Dear Friend, Daniel

Sometime we have a lot going on in our minds and unable to switch off resulting in troubled dreams. Hopefully the colours will return. Good luck in the contest CayCay. Enjoy your week ahead. Happy St Patrick's day. Tom

This is not personal, but I am overwhelmed, so perhaps your advice would be good to take regardless. Enjoy you ... CayCay
