Edge of Life's Cliff

Coronavirus, here to stay; Rather unfortunate to say. Lives have changed; things aren't the same. Crowding of hospitals, a shame. Complacency, life on the edge; Flirting with disaster on ledge. We're close to falling off a cliff After withstanding hardship's biff. Oh, when will this pandemic end? Masks now drive me around the bend; Quite the necessary evil! Omicron surge cause upheaval. Setbacks after progress does stink. Ship of state teeters on the brink; Soon, millions of lives will be lost, Vaccinate and avoid the cost! Edward, a very important write considering the state of the world, I hate wearing the masks as in this cold climate of Canada my glasses fog up, but know the importance. In Canada we must have a vaccine passport to go almost everywhere. Wonderful write, it would have for sure placed in my contest with a correct title ~Constance

Thank you, Constance:-) You speak for all humanity! Masks are annoying no matter the climate. When this pandemic ends I don't think I'll ever touch or even look at a mask again, lol.

This pandemic is relentless--and perhaps here to stay--just as you describe. There are those who heed the warnings, and those who don't. I hear your message my friend.

Unfortunately, it's looking like it will stick around just like the flu, Vijay:-( I hope I'm wrong, though. Thanks for dropping by as always, my friend.
