Edge of Knowing
Everytime I try to go away
stay away from reality
from this world so cold
Here am I
brought back, still suffering
I apologize for my abrupt monologue
I just need someone to vent to
someone to know my thoughts
as I seep deeper into disdain
Did I forget to mention my name
oh well I've suddenly stopped caring
Suddenly I just want to be
on the edge of tree branches
or sitting atop a rooftop
away from all who oppose me
Yeah, I'm standing over the edge
and of course, I took one last breath
Yet instead I just turned tail
and walked away
turning my back against today
against the world
I guess my thirst for vengeance has been quenched
and I admit I've been optimistic for way too long
Let me be alone for just one day
No one would even care if I wasn't around
Nothing will change
all will remain the same
if I leave today
So yesterday will you be my tomorrow
Bring me a bus ticket
my suitcase, my bags packed
and lie to me, tell me everything will be alright
I just the need the comfort tonight
the comfort to know...
