Economy Sucks

My credit cards are maxed a plenty The mortgage payment was due last week The electric company came with warning My future now, it looks quite bleak My work, they won’t advance me money The corporate bigwigs hoard and lie They have no thoughts for those with families They wouldn’t care if I lived or died They just want the work then finished And need not know how it’s attained However, they do watch the P and L sheets So they can see the cash they’ve made And I, well, I will make the phone calls I will get from Peter, to pay Paul I just so hope it does not catch up I’d hate to see my house then fall
