Ecila (For My Rhiannon)

I entered the hollow
he begged me to follow
I ran just as fast as I could.

But when I got there
there wasn't a hare
so curious & dumbfound I stood.

Which way did he go?
it seems I don't know
and should I go this
way or that?

And if I go that
I may be to fat
to fit through the
tunnel so small.

And if I take this
the hare I may miss
and never will catch
him at all.

Oh my, all these choices
and what are those voices
I hear in the distance so loud?

I don't want to rush now
my face is all flush now
I feel a slight pain in
my head.

At last I awaken
I must be mistaken
I'm finally home in my bed...
