Echoes Out of Time

Echoes of Time
Echoes of time consume me
I've been there and back again
I was that little girl
Ripped apart and laid bare
Yes I was left naked there
No one would help me
No one would dare
They were afraid of him
They couldn't care
When I looked into her eyes
They were bare
They had no stare
I knew she wasn't even there

Sounds like you are talking about your parents. Whatever it was, these things leave chilling scars on our minds. It's never pleasant and takes a lot to put it in perspective.

Too many suffer such a dark 'fate'... It's good to illuminate, as you have... Terry

my, this is a dark one from you. It resonates with sadness, Debbie. What inspired this one? (enjoyed your tale of the twin cats)

The trauma lingers within the soul. With these reflections that take their toll. With eyes wide shut the heart will bleed. When no one helps in our time of need.

This is a too sad story too often told but not put out in the open often enough. The system doesn't do a damn thing. After working with kids with similar stories, I've become a vigilante fan. The victims suffer and the defendants make a mockery of justice. Where is Charles Bronson when you need him? Vince

sad and chilling as the reality is... my heart duly sinks... apologies rise from within to the victims unknow... yet some known but ignored... Debs, keep it going and soon they will fear no more. the world will no longer ignore. such should be echoes out of time indeed, but not another reality for an unfortunate girl to live. touches me deep Debs. Deep and real as it should be so yeah! two thumbs up 4 the awesome work.
