Echoes of What Once Was Friendship

Head full of dreams, not a single one shattered. She had me, and that’s all that mattered. Sure the hardships came and passed. Just little things, they never amassed. ? Slowly the hardships got harder and harder. Soon, I had to think smarter and smarter. Suddenly there was nothing I could do. I couldn’t help, she needed someone new. Perhaps someone more like her. I began to wonder if there were. She grew farther and farther away. There is barely anything left of her here today. Don’t go old friend, don’t leave me behind.
