Echoes Of The Silent Shore

In my mind I go to an empty beach in my mind,
     I enjoy it best at sunset with the hued clouds;
or at sunrise with all the birds singing songs,
        love the solitude and tranquility as I walk.

The sunset clouds ever changing colors so serene,
     moving, swirling, mingling, and fading;
the light gradually dimming from blue to purple,
          I just sit and watch as the sun slips away.

The sunrise is so invigorating with its stillness,
      the sound of the rolling waves hypnotic;
a thousand birds singing a grand symphony for me,
          echoing as I am lost in my inner thoughts.
