Echoes of Solitude

When winter comes
With blinding lightening,
And frightening drums;
Grey clouds cover the skies,
And reluctant tears fill the eyes.

When winter comes
With blinding lightening,
And frightening drums;
You’re left amidst the cold
And the loneliness foretold.

When winter comes
With blinding lightening,
And frightening drums…“Hush! Hush!”
The howling winds are knocking on the door!
“Welcome, Icy Echoes of Solitude!”

I can feel the cold wind of loneliness blowing hard. Well done.
