Echoes Of Silent Screams

Betrayal devastates your heart, as trust crumbles away to dust. And your mind's unable to grasp that what he felt wasn't love, but lust. Tears are the unsavory dregs of life's bitter reality. And there's no escaping that pain; Love offers no such guarantee. The days accumulate like dust, gathering on the hands of time. And as their numbers multiply, anxieties begin to climb. You feel isolated and shunned, imprisoned deep inside yourself. For your heart's been broken before, and the pieces placed on a shelf. Depression directs dying dreams to the deepest depths of your heart. And the echoes of silent screams threaten to tear your soul apart. Loneliness lingers: like an ache constantly gnawing at your heart. And your smile fades: like an actor whom fate has assigned, a bit part.

Hello, Emile. I hope this is not something you are suffering from, my friend...depression is such an insidious thing. You have done a good job here, Emile...for bringing things like this out into the public domain is the best way of helping people--very well penned! My very warmest regards! :) john

Thanks John, no this is not something that I'm going through now, but we all have had to deal with depression at one time in our lives, (or at least I have)... the good thing is that it does get better. I appreciate your comments and support my friend, Emile.
