ECHOES OF RWANDA

Beauty, they say, comes with time Even scars fade, and what was once ugly Now seems fine. Though torn and shattered years ago Rwanda, like a new moon Glows with a quiet, radiant light. Yet, if you listen closely You can still hear the echoes— The haunting cries of Tutsis, Hutus Lingering in the wind. When the rains arrive, tears still fall Tracing paths down the cheeks of both The old and the young. But they made a choice— A choice to believe in a dream An idea that would set them free. And like eagles, Rwandans soar United, resilient, and proud.
