Echo

I fell for a ghost.

Ethereal and spectacular.

I fell, knowing I could never touch her.

Knowing my lips would never brush her forehead and whisper goodnight.

Knowing the unfathomable pain i would no doubt suffer eventually

But for that moment

Suspended in air whilst i fell

Was a high that I will chase for the rest of my life

Her laugh a melody to my ears

Her smirk, enchanting.

And her voice will echo in my heart forever
